So from the last postings we have discovered that there still is some life in New Zealands climbing scene. So, where havde we been climbing then and what has been going down? Whats been "the" thing to do this winter for you? Hanging around local crags? Going north/south? Heading for the ice and mountains? Gave climbing up and through yourself down the ice slopes of ski fields?
So come out and devoulge your secrets.

It's been flock hill for me, I try to get up there atleast once a week. Have had trouble being a first year uni student means that I have been hung over on a lot of my trips out there. Haven't got out as much or climbed as well as I have wanted but still have thrown down on occasions. My next 'project' will be to get my pre-reqs for the Bachelor of Castle Hill, haven't decided what I'll major in yet though.

I did manage to get up to Paynes for a couple of those long weekends at the start of the year but they were weather affected.

one serving of vertical reality is guaranteed to get you high

Things were a bit slow after the last bit of Banks Peninsula development late autumn/early winter, leading up to my NI trip.
On the NI, got to hit the Quarry, Reperoa, Whanganui and Kawakawa Bays, good times!
As the weather plays along, I have started back doing some crag maintenance around Britten/Mt Pleasant, and some climbing and development near Little River. I think the BP will be seeing some attention again as the weather continues to improve.

Been playing in the mountains in Ecuador, then went to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky, and am flying back to Aotearoa in the morning. Has anybody been going down to the Cave lately? Was thinking about a trip, but not if it's sopping from non-stop easterlies.

Sounds like most people have been doing sum pritty sweet stuff. Hell i wish we would get some warm weather down here, although you cant beat the friction (so long as you can feel the rock). The cave is prity good at the moment, sweet if you pick a few days of nor'west weather.
I myself have been sifting round different areas, trying to solve verious things, its seems I'v been attracted to those strange climbs that everybody else finds anoying. Good time's, I'm lacking a bit on the train at the moment though, costs to much to go to those gyms, but hey, ya don't have to be strong, Right??

Unsure why is is posted in smacktalk really, i guess its because i was in smacktalk when i decided to post something, and the post topic botton was right there.

I see kester just bet me with the situation at the cave

Flock Hill every Friday at the moment...

It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.
