Volunteer Wanted
I'm looking to train up a new national coordinator for the NBS - is anyone keen to take this on, or know of someone who would be suitable?
On average organising the NBS takes up approximately 2-3 hours per week (ie one evening per week) for 6 months leading up to the event.
Key responsibilities include deciding the competition dates and venues, enlisting area organisers, securing sponsors, promotion, updating the website, attending each competition, and writing a report for the Climber and sponsors.
I have developed an event plan which includes all the bits and pieces (letters, proposals, forms, templates, rules etc) necessary to run the event.
Financial support to get the NBS started is provided by the NZAC and this includes the cost of travel for the national coordinator!
I'm hoping there is someone out there who is keen to take this on as the NBS 07 proved that the event is still very popular and it would be great to see it continue.
