Hello Rock aficionados

Kate and I are starting work on the next edition of Rock Deluxe. To start the ball rolling Richard and I are heading down south for about a month worth of collection info. We’ll basically be doing the loop of the island starting on the 5/1/10

Agenda: Motueka, Charleston, Wanaka, Mt Cook boulders, Timaru, Hamner, Queenstown, Milford, Long Beach and a peep into The Cave.

We want to update existing crags and add some new stuff.

Anyone interested to get in touch with info, ideas, climbing or a bit of talking...

Thanks

Hey Ivan, are you still on Quark, or have you moved to InDesign?

Quark. Since the first was done with that I'll continue with it - would be too much work to change.

How about Takaka Quarry and Starling Fortress, both outstanding rock and not a bolt in site!!!

Hemi's would be orsome.

Some of those may be in the next Golden Bay Climbs...

Do you know the access details for Starling Fortress ie Landowners contact details?

No sorry I don't, though in 2004/5 the guy who own the quarry was quite happy to have climbers there as he was one, I think his name was Ben but I don't have any contact details.

Also after my fourth trip to Hemi'sI've found that there's a truck load more climbs then whats in BS-MtB guide book. Overnight access needs to investigated as Mike doesn't like climbers staying up there ...

Hmmmm, not that I have anything major against Evans Pass.....I am not sure if it is a fitting choice for a "select" guide....

...now some of the newer crags out on the Peninsula on the other hand.... Tongue outWink
