what about a video clip section? how much can we fit on this site i wonder...
would users be able/ bothered to download 3 - 5Mb or bigger video clips?

Cool idea Matti. I could then inundate you with video clips of my baby when she arrives. I know how much you all love babies!?
Seriously though, it would be good to at least be able to put this stuff on line. Even if its not used much, when it is used likely to be worthwhile for all concerned.

Would indeed be a great idea. cept everytime a clip is downloded there is a traffic charge to website. Unfortunately Mojozone is not a cash cow (or at least not yet) this is reasonably unviable unless you wanted to pay for each download?? Climbers are all so rich and free with their money afterall.

hey all.. yep I'm still around.
media downloads are definitely an issue as it costs me from memory $50-$70 a month to host mojozone and I don't get no revenue from it. If we start doing video/large media downloads then that will push through the datacap and cost me mega bucks..
nearly 2000 page views in one day yesterday, imagine if there was a 5meg file uploaded then lets say 1 % of those page views result in a download thats 20 downloads * 5megs. Which is 1gig of traffic a month for one video. i'm not sure what data cap i've got at the moment but I think it's like 3gig.. ouch.. not sure the division of local and international traffic.
I will put an online gallery up for members to make submissions too. thats not so much of an issue.

Slack bastard indeed, good to hear from you though, i'm guessing you have not constructed your woody yet (Regan get your mind out of the gutter)
Have had ongoing discussions with the mojomaster about this and I am a ssured that it is in the pipeline and that when he has more than two seconds of time to rub together he will get onto it.
Hopefully can be updated by members easily.
