NZSF nationals/oceanias in Wanaka
To the NZSF
Heard a rumour that the Nationals on Oct 7 and 8th were only going require a $10 registration as long as you are part of an affiliated club but for the Oceanias on the Monday 9th the registration is going to be $200! as it is an international event. However this fee will only apply for the Adults and Masters. Is this true? Are you trying to put everybody off? I would have thought that you might attract quite a few people to this event, if you don't price them out of entering?
Response please.
hey martan try emailing or posting a notice on www.nzsf.org.nz they should be able to keep u up 2 date with wots happening down there. could u let us know how it goes coz i will be crusing down to wanaka for oceainas as well dude

Info on costs
entry is not $200 the $200 is the cost for a club to becomne affilliated with the NZSF ie the dynomites or the flying geckos they are affiliated clubs i believe
see link
http://www.nzsf.org.nz/view.php?category=1&page=14
then you only pay the minimal fee of $10 through your club to get a competition license
so no the NZSF is not trying to price people out of competing they are trying to do the exact oppsite by trying to make it cheaper for individuals to compete
o and slightly off topic who here is planning on going down for the comp???
Its going to be awesome
Martin, send an email to secretary@nzsf.org.nz and you will get answers to any questions you have. Suggest if you need answers that is the best place to get them from.
But, entering 2 sections is possible (assume the oldies and the youngies sections for you?)
A note to anyone who is intending on competing - registrations close at the end of September - there are no payments accepted on the day or late entries. Would suggest you get in quick if you are wanting to compete as the event is limited to 120 people and we will get to that number before the end of Sept.
What a load of bollocks the NZSF website is.
I thought I would have a gander at the results or what was happening down there and only one of the links works - while that is good providing some updated results and positions I am unable to look back at earlier results and have no idea what category is up next....of these only the live results works ...and only whilst live

And yes I guess it is not the NZSF website per say but surely if it is getting a service provided one should provide at least most of that service surely...
So, today, after an International Competition I thought it might be good to peruse the results but they are no where to be found... anyone help? What is the point of a website that has nothing...
hi
got to agree with you about that website! Really hard to use and no info about results.
You can find the reults here:
cheers dave
ps anyone know what was the grade of the finals route?
thats a bit more use... thanks
Results available on both www.nzsf.org.nz under the results section and have been since yesterday and also on www.oceania.org.nz .
Having said that I can't believe how negative some people are. In fact I can, but still. Funny - some people will never be satisfied.
Wanaka had broadband issues all weekend, but we still managed to get the live streaming out there and also results as they were happening.
It was a great event, with great media coverage and the largest Oceania competition ever.
Thanks to all those who put countless unpaid hours into this competition, without you these comps would not happen.
well I must blame something and it wasn't working on my computer or browsers. I would get 1 page of reults - yes they were updating but once that event was over - no thing.
So I just had a look at the nzsf website and get empty space in the results under each category. sorry in the senior m and f categories most of the others are there.
