just wondering what types of music people on the zone listen to.

i like most things (explains why i have 43gb of music on one of my hard drives and 11 on the other) but prefer old school rock (70s-80s) and particulary hate simple plan.

any replies would be appreciated

Good to hear a bit of support for some old-school, but generally for me that's not music for climbing. (Except for in the context of my last post on the above thread.)

Welcome Mr Frog. The Dub is an excellent choice for pre-crag tunes. You've even got "problem" in my head now, congratulations. 8)

And yeah I know what you're talking about and couldn't agree more.

Maynard, the singer from Tool, also sings for A Perfect Circle.

Aside from that they are different bands with different members.

So with this new trendy "Wellington Sound" in fashion - what do people go for

Dunedin v Wellington?

My money is on the Dunedin punks at this point. Could change in years to come though.

Music?

Beegees...come on

Lionel Ritchie. ;) Easy....like a Sunday morning...hahaha

No, we were doing something a bit weird last weekend, Dan the builder...had his Builders Radio (by Black and Decker of course!) - and we were cranking out the sounds...no one else was there for ages...eventually some H-Town dudes turned up...we asked if it bothered them...and they said nah! Sweet as!...haha

yeah, amp up music for JFM - Audioslave...track2 new album...

oh yeah...

Personally, Rage against the machine always gets me pumped up for the hard ones.

nice choice.

now here's something different: sway by the pussycat dolls and some moby (i.e. honey, find my baby and why does my heart feel so bad) are all good background music and easy listening for when you're pumped crazy and need to relax.

some friends use moby to get their heart beat back to normal after races but mine's always back under 65 within 5 mins.
