While I'm at it I can recommend this route too, grade 24 clip up, tricky, very nice climbing and a worthy addition to anyones plateau sport route ticklist.
At Xmas I put a proper anchor in and gave it a clean, you need a golden camalot for the top (2.5 or 3 friend)

The erratum in Lens guide claiming that the bolts are unsafe on this climb is an unfortunate, bogus, totally unsubstantiated fallacy.

Maybe we can get a new NZAC sponsored Guide done... tough having to research it eh?

yeah, i was most unimpressed by the latest edition of Lens guide. The new diagrams were illegible and still in a wacky back to front order. It seemed to be a quick slap together job with the new routes hastily inserted. A lot of the really cool route descriptions that used to be in older editions have gone as well, leaving what was once a really cool, unique guide, a kind of dumbed down , PC version.

Life is short, art is long, opportunity fleeting, experimenting dangerous, reasoning difficult

The original bay guide is choice - theres a copy at mainly tramping

Seems like Len lost some love on the latest one
