So silly me left my shoes behind on Sunday 17th Feb

Yellow Five ten V10s with a distinctive camo pattern (only pair in the country that look like this).

Left in Animal Biscuit Valley. Just sitting on the grass.

If you are headed to froggatt in the next couple days can you keep an eye out for them. Or an eye out other places if they don't turn up..

Thanks!

Ok so I left the shoes there on Sunday at dark.

Got back there Tuesday at lunchtime and no sign. Though someones scody anasazi lace up is still there..

No sign at Bryces so it looks like they have been picked up Monday.
If anyone knows anyone who was there Monday can they ask them or keep an eye out at the crag or more likely at the gym.

Maybe someone just has them in their pack and is goign to take them back to bryces next weekend,,,

Let the H town massive boys know as they are likley to see someone with them if they have been nicked.

These shoes are really noticeable. There is only a few pairs of the old V10s around and these ones have black camo pattern over the yellow which are defiantely the only ones like it.

If you see them just say they are yours and grab them for me, call me etc.
Probably going to be with some younger kids but you never know..

$50 to anyone who can steal them back if they have been misappropriated.

Thanks

You've had those shoes for so long Regan... not sure why anyone would want to knick them

The camo was cool though... maybe they're going to steal your pattern!!

Will get another pair but just want those as they are perfectly worn in and ready for hard stuff..

Velcros are sloppy now and only good for gym and warm ups

Lace Ups are perfect but only have another month befor rubber goes.

Mugens are brand new so hard and slippery.

Mesas are only for crimpy face climbing.

So I'm short of a pair for hard sends, this stuffed up my whole shoe wearing in cycle.

So it's worth it for me to get them back. Took 6 months for them to fit properly. Day I lost them was the first day they slipped on first time. Arse. :x

Vanessa in Whangarei?  Anyone know them?  Must be a climber or associated with the climbers who wandered off with them...  Well It looks like they haven't been used and I'd really like them back so maybe I should pay for the damm things, and once I've got them then alert trademe?  I was going to offer $75 reward so I guess they are worth paying for to get my own stuff back.  Fuckers.  Though maybe there is an innocent explanation...

Yeah... Talked to a few trade me experts and they said best thing if I want them is to just buy them back.  Saw your question on there Simon, sounds likely to me that she had nothing to do with it but her son is the shoe misappropriator.. Will send her an email after I get them.

Yeah, enquiring minds want to know how this one played out.  Have to say, a few of the seller's other items would certainly go very well with a pair of camo-pattern rock shoes, 'specially on the dance floor.

Edit - or at Arapiles in the 1980s.

Ok so the seller sent me the following which matches with what Bryce said about their good character.  I thanked them for the offer but they can keep the money.  It will be enough payback if I send something good in them this summer.
"That is awful, I feel terrible that you had to pay for them (again) but I certainly have nothing to do with your misfortune! My son had them given to him by a mate who didn't fit them (not sure where he got them from though). They were never a good fit for my son either and he hardly climbed (he is just 15 and more into longboarding) so they never got a lot of use. It's actually amazing you got them as I sold them a few weeks earlier but the person didn't fit them so I repaid them their money and took them back again. So your shoes have had a very adventurous life! Once again, sorry, I kind of feel obliged to offer you your money back, but I also feel it's not really my fault...? I will, if you feel it's your right... Leave if up to you, the offer is there."
