HEY!

my friend and i have all the gear we need except a rope or pad. no car but are willing to travel to meet anyone. Both climb in the u.s 5.9/5.10 range. going to be around Arthurs Pass and Castle Hill those dates. very flexable to meet somewhere else if needed. thanks.

It's pretty easy to rent pads on the way to Castle Hill.

Sorry, when I said ChCh I really meant Christchurch.  I can give you two 33m ropes that are okay for toproping, and which are still excellent for mountaineering at Arthurs Pass.

Just remind me when you get here.  Peter, home 03 3224167  mobile 021-1529906

Thanks so much guys but it turns out were not going to have enough time to head to castle hill. We are going to check out Paynes Ford instead. Stoked!

As an american myself, and having climbed at both places extensively, I think you're making a huge mistake.  Fuck Payne's.  Go to Castle Hill.  And I don't even really like bouldering. But Castle Hill is amazing. The best NZ has to offer in my opinion.  Paynes is an above average sport climbing area.
