Have posted this in general as well but i guess it's an 'event' :D

This goes out to mainly the CNI/Taupo and Waitomo Crews but is an open ivitation to everyone really.

Sunday the 17th on august is the first "baiting" day of the season for Project Manu, who as you know are the conservation group charged with pest erradication in the reserve. This involves half a day of tramping thru the reserve laying talon "musli bars" in bait stations through-out the reserve.
It is a good opportunity to get an insight into what else is going on in the reserve and to meetother people who have an intrest in the place, and a fantastic time to give something back to the community for allowing us to climb there! It only takes a few hours and finishes with a big BBQ lunch.

I'm going to be there, and it would be great to see other climbers coming along to help out. Trust me, it would improve our "image" to these people no end!

I think it starts at 9am but PM me if your keen and i will get more details...
