Italian clllimbers in NZ

Hi everybody!
My name is Marta i'm 27. My boyfriend Alessandro and i are coming to NZ. We are so excited! We'll arrive on the 15 of December at Christchurch and we'll leaving from Auckland on the 29 of December!
We would like to climb a find new friends! We have some sort of itinerary.. We'll be in Motueka from the 19 till the 22. We have the ferry on the night between the 22 and the 23.
Our idea is to take with us only ours climbing shoes and harness, we have a limited weight for the baggage...
We have quite a good experience in climbing, we live near Finale Ligure (a very famous place for climbing in Europe) and we are also quite near to Alps. We do leading and multi pitch, traditional and sport climbing, and we also do bouldering. I also practice yoga.
If anybody would like to meet us during our journey in New Zealand and introuce us to your crags we'll be very grateful

If you guys are near Motueka in late December by far the best option is to head across the Hill to Takaka and Paynes Ford, probably the best limestone sport climbing in the country, but also one of the best climbing areas in the world for the total experience IMO. There will be lots of people there at the Hangdog campground to climb with and plenty of swimming to be had. Quity frankly if you are in NZ for such a short time you could easily spend it all there.
