I know it's still the 1950s to some people, but I think these days it has been decided by the majority that if a female takes issue with how she is being talked about by someone(s), especially in that whole 'let me tell you some made-up sexual stuff about her so that I get to feel all important', then she is actually permitted to express disgust without being labelled a hysterical woman in need of some extra housework. In this case I'd have thought that most readers would be able to work out what the gripe was about, as it is clearly stated. But perhaps that was making too great an assumption. There is nothing more to the story than what was articulated. If you can't see what the issue is then I can only scratch my head and wonder.
The moral of the story? It you talk crap about someone, expect to one day get called on it.

The issue is perfectly clear.
The reaction, on the other hand, was just a wee bit "out there", considering the then current context (one post in a forum).
The "actual" context......rumors and what have you, is apparently something completely different, but nothing which joe-random-forum-reader (me) is otherwise aware of.
Taken out of that context, the response really did seem to come out of left field :roll:

and hear i was thinking i needed a copy of new idea to keep me entertained ..
i guess the surprising thing is the 'candour' of the posts on mountainz
and while i have a very firm no comment on the actual content
i dont think anyone should be surprised by the reaction
dirty laundry in public ...
