Hi all!

My name is Virpi, I'm a thirty-something female from Finland. I'm travelling around NZ at least until the end of April, possibly longer if I postpone my flights... At the moment I'm in Wanaka, I'll be around at least a couple of days if I can go climbing here. After Wanaka I'm planning to move on to west coast and north and probably after many curves (Arthur's pass, Castle Hill?) make my way to Payne's ford before exploring the North Island. Fast facts:

-  I have my personal gear with me (no rope, no quickdraws - would've been too heavy for my journey)
-  climb something around 5c-6a+ on French scale (Australian 16/17-19?, still trying to figure this out). I lead the easier routes but I'm also happy to second something a bit harder. I do sportclimbing but as said, can second trad.
-  don't have a car / camping equipment with me so I need to stick to day trips or rent / borrow stuff. However I'm happy to share the fuel etc.
- will be in NZ at least until end of April
- would be very happy if I could do some quality climbing with people who know the crags of NZ! :)

Hope to hear from you dear kiwi-climbers. Best way to get in touch with me is via sms / private message but replying this message works, too. Cheers,
Virpi (+64 22 6751261)

Thank you all of you friendly climbers who have contacted me. (Btw private message is fine aswel since I've been able to get online more often than what I thought + it'll be easier to plan things.)  I will get in touch with you if / when I come to your region. Auckland area seems to be "covered" pretty well, at the moment I'm still in the south as it has been so nice here. :) My plan is to come to Nelson and Paynes Ford soon. Will be in NZ at least until the end of April, maybe longer since planning to postpone my flights...Wink

Edit. Flights have been changed, I will stay in NZ until the beginning of June, woohoo! North island climbers be aware, I'm coming that way in the beginning of May. Before that I want to check out Castle Hill, though (now in Chch).
