Climbing partner
Hi folks
I am a female Brit, over from Scotland, living in New Zealand for six months and looking for folk to climb with. I am based in North Island, an hour from Wharepapa and not too far from Whanganui Bay (sister lives in Taupo) and should shortly be furnished with wheels. But keen to travel and climb elsewhere, with a trip planned to South Island in November. I have been climbing for 20 years (bit of an age clue there) and what I lack in muscle I hope I make up for in experience and enthusiasm - I like trad climbing mainly but have clipped many bolts in my time (mainly in Europe), and I lead up to grade 18-19/ F6a with a following wind and when the moon is full!! I have my own rack and a single rope and personal kit plus a copy of Alastair Lee's Rock Climbing in New Zealand, so some ideas about where to go - just no-one to go with yet! All you need is a watchful eye, decent rope work skills, enjoy a laugh and to have left your ego at home...
Oh and I am into mountain biking, mountaineering, ski-ing and sea paddling on my days off..
Look forward to hearing from you

Hey Guys, I'll be up on the north Island around the 2nd Nov, I'm up for climbing if I can get to these places (I have no car!). Here's some info about me http://mojozone.co.nz/forum/uk-climber-looking-for-partner-anywhere-especially-wanaka-wharepapa-south
Let me know if you'd be free to climb between 2nd and 6th Nov.

Hello Fran
Myself (Scott) and my girlfriend (Cassie) are currently living in Auckland. We are very interested in climbing around the Wharepapa and Whanganui Bay areas. I have sport climbed and top roped quite a lot and dabbled in Trad Climbing, Cassie is new to climbing in general but is a quick study.
I have a full sports rack with a 70m rope. I also have a set of Nuts and Tricams. For me I haven't climbed much for the last 2-3 months, but when I last climbed I was Sport leading upto 20/21... Although I would put myself down a few grades now.
Cassie is somewhat a local but I myself am a clueless Australian. We would both be happy to climb with someone that has a good level of experience and some keen motivation. Neither of us are grade chasers, we just like being challanged and to have a great time.
Cheers
Scott and Cassie
