Christchurch Climbing (Castle Hill, Cave)

Hi there,
Currently I'm based in Wellington, but I'd like to go climbing in the Christchurch Area the next week (30.2 - 8.3) . Bouldering in Castle Hill or doing some steep stuff in the cave would be great. Is there anybody hanging out at these places during this time?

Yep I did, and now i'm back - Destination was totally awesome, even though it rained pretty much all weekend.
Uli - i've got a hell week ahead of me finishing off The Climber mag - but will go to the Cave wednesday eve if that is any help. My home ph is 942 3312 - gimme a call and i'll hook you up with some partners if you want.

just thought i'd try....i'll be hanging around castle hill for a month beginning 29th march. whats the expectations like that i'll be able to hook up with some others during that time? i'll be statying at the homestead. preffereably i'm looking for young, attractive females who giggle at every joke, console at every failed send, and open every beer.
oh, also. whats the legal drinking age in NZ. i lived there ages ago and have this frightening thought that it was 21!! i'm used to waltzing into the pubs here in oz at age 18, please, NZ government, don't deny me the luxury of blotto night at the pub......

The Drinking age here is 18, and I can exploit it! :D
Chances are good that you'll be able to hook up with people to climb with but unfortunatly there is a lack of young attractive females who climb.

Young females who climb...riiiighht. Maybe indoors. No sendage today...grrr Mope and Kerry are pretty close to sending dour. I got spanked again on BTL.
As for CHCH...oh yes, in April a crew will be coming down to Castle Hill and maybe some Cave action.
Climbing at the homer eh craig? Send us some pics...might be online a bit later tonight.

When I get the film on my camera developed I'll scan them or have them put on cd to upload. Went out to Chinamans cliff today and after an hour of driving discovered it was too wet to climb there :mad:
