Anyone keen to climb once or twice a week in Wellington??

Hi,

Im a 22 chick in need a climbing buddy in wellington, someone who is keen to head down to hangdog/fergs once or twice a week.
Ive just stated getting into climbing so not ready for anything outdoorsy as yet but will definately work up to that (wont be stuck indoors forever!!) .
Have most of my own gear.
Unfortunately between my climbing mates and non climbing mates i only manage to get down about once a week, which doesn't do much to curb my addiction.

So if anyone just needs someone to belay them or are sick of climbing alone flick me a message,
And without sounding like a dating ad, id prefer you to have a sense of humour!!

are you at VUW? there is a Tramping Club which regularly climbs, i don't think it is exclusive to Student either, but membership gets u some deals at fergs and they do trip every now and again. http://vuwtc.org.nz/cs/default.aspx

Thanks mate, not with VUW but will be next semester so will definately be joining up with them then, sounds like they get into climbing quite a bit also.

yeh, we went baring head a few eeks ago, and a bunch of em are going to wharepapa (god knows why) this weekend, there will be a bunch of ppls down at fergs tonight also

awesome, they are usually there most wednesdays is that right? Spent a fair few hours at hang dog this avo so perhaps next wed i will come down to fergs for a bit

Im usually down fergs 3 times a week or so. Head out to the head and Titahi Bay in the weekends every once and a while.
I'm a bouldernut but if I remember to I will bring my harness from now on... :S

Sounds awesome, i will probably get down to fergs a few nights this week then, my usual wednesday hang dog buddy has bailed on me so have to get my climbing fix somehow!

I'm very keen for some climbing.  I moved to Welly earlier this year, and don't know any climbers here.  Have been out of action due to a nasty exam, which I passed last week, so I need to get my weak and puny arms in shape.

Going to start going to Ferg's in a couple of weeks (working nights this week and evening's next).  You still going?
