NZ Alpine warm ups for Ben Dare

Before leaving for Nepal with the New Zealand Solu Khumbu Alpine Style Expedition, Ben Dare climbed three new alpine rock routes.

The first was on the Southwest Spur, between the West and South faces, of Single Cone in the Remarks. Seven pitches in length with a crux grade of 17, climbed on the 15th of January with Danny Murphy and Anna Routsi.

The second was again in the Remarks on the South face of Single Cone. Seven pitches in length with a crux grade of 18, climbed on the 23rd of January with Andrew Finnigan.

And the final climb was on the South face of Malte Brun with Mike Rowe on the 10th of February. Ben and Mike did eighteen pitches with a crux of grade 17 and topped out on the upper West ridge just below the summit.
