Notes about the bay...
Craigs comment post reminded me of a few things about the bay.
The access road is a MESS - if you haven't got a 4wd leave your car at the top of the carpark !!! Generally speaking that is.. if you are uncertain about your fate getting back up from the bottom (even if in a 4wd), then don't attempt the bottom section !
Don't go through the Mud at the campground/vehicle park, it's deeper than it looks (the jeep incident being testimony to this), and every vehicle through there just makes it worse for later on. It was looking an absolute mess when we left Monday arvo. And Ants has rightly pointed out theres a sign saying don't drive through there.
The access/camp fee for the bay are $10 per person per night. I heard a rumour of some person(s) complaining about that. If you don't want to pay, don't go to the bay. Simple.
