Banff Mountain Film Festival
The World Tour of the Banff Mountain Film Festival (www.banffmountainfestivals.ca) is coming to Wellington for the first time on Friday September 5 at the Memorial Lecture Theatre at Victoria University.
The Banff Film festival is the worlds premier festival for mountain oriented films. Here nine of the best films from the festival are presented.
The films which range in time from 2 to 52 minutes, will be an adventure in the mountains of Irian Jaya, a base jump off the north face of the Eiger, and a fascinating look at Himalayan culture. Be prepared for lots of adventure, humour, and adrenalin.
Tickets are $15 and available from Bivouac, Mountain Designs, and Mainly Tramping.

This screening of the world tour is organised by the Wgtn section of the New Zealand Alpine Club and sponsored by Wellington's top outdoor stores: Bivouac, Mountain Designs, Mainly Tramping, Hangdog, and Fergs Rock and Kayak. It has been roumored there will be prizes on hand too...
