Aucklanders Banned From Spittle Hill

Was at Spittle Hill (At Castle Hill for you indoor sports climbers) the other day when I saw the Land owner Mike Bradley literally with steam coming out his ears (it was really cold). I went to see what was up and found that some @Y$#@% had carved 'Blues 2003 Champions' into a boulder. Mike was livid, and was producing a stream of expletives directed squarely at Auckland. I was tempted to try and calm him down but seems as I was pissed off also I didn't. Anyway, it turns out Mike must be quite a staunch Cantabrian as he has banned all Aucklanders from Spittle Hill until further notice. While he obviously cannot stand around checking all visitors he has asked the locals to spread this message and tell any Aucklanders we see there that they are no longer welcome. While I don't support access restrictions anywhere, I am fearful of all climbers being banned and so respect Mike's wishes. I guess I am pretty pissed about the desecration of the boulder also. No doubt given some time to cool off this situation will change but until then stay away, Mike can be pretty scary if he wants to be.
